Starting A Candle Business is Fun and Profitable!

Starting a candle business is fun and PROFITABLE! LOVE SOY CANDLES? Do you spend money on them all the time? Why not try starting a candle business of your own?

Over 90% of women and 70% of men burn candles in their homes. An in demand product is a joy to sell!

Starting a candle business is exciting, exhilarating and a little bit frightening. It's a big step for most of us. We worry about how much it'll cost us, where the money will come from and will we be successful?

Let me help you with this important decision and you'll see it can be a fun and exciting adventure. If you take it step by step, you'll see that it's not only do-able but FUN!

First Thing When Starting A Candle Business
You Need To Decide Where To Get Your Candles

Do you want to make AND market your own candles?
OR leave the making to others and focus on marketing only?

Making your own candles puts you in total control when starting a candle business. This can be a good thing and Candle Making is FUN too! The upside is you control quality, size, shape, fragrances and color of your candles. EVERYTHING!

The downside is that you have to KEEP UP WITH PRODUCTION as well as all the other aspects of running your business. Don't let this frighten you (and I am not trying to rain on anyone's parade) but...

Don't underestimate the time it takes to manufacture a product or product line.

Once you establish a demand for your products you'll be committed to making them day in and day out, week after week, month after month, all year round. Once you begin, I want to see you succeed so...

Only commit to making your own candles if...

  • Your business is going to be an extra income earner. Basically starting a candle business as a way to pay for your candle making hobby.

  • You are an experienced chandler and know what's involved in mass producing candles. Especially during the Holiday Season.

  • Candle Making is your passion! You know you can make a better product than is currently available! (And be sure to let me know about it!)
  • It's very important to take your time. Don't rush. It takes plenty of time and money to develop and test your product. Test! Test! Test!

The worst thing you could do after going to all the effort of starting a candle business is to sell a sub-standard product. If it doesn't burn right, doesn't smell like it should or is unsafe you are just asking for trouble.

I know if you decide to make your own soy candles you'll have fun with it and do it safely. To help you with your candle making I've put together these candle makeing tips.

Ok, making your own soy candles isn't an option for you? (At least not in mass quantities) No worries, starting a candle business is still a GREAT idea! All you need is a product you can feel proud to share with others.

So, let's look at what you should consider when choosing a product line and company to start a candle business.
